Ellie, a recovering drug addict, has just moved to a new city with two teenagers. She has been trying to stay sober and determined to succeed this time, find a stable job and attend meetings regularly. Unfortunately, the opportunities for new friends, new jobs and new lives cannot prevent Ellie from falling again. When she met Christopher (a different type of drug addict), her life changed, which forced her daughter and son to accept a new version of Ellie.
