Siren Phillips has always considered herself an ordinary girl in an ordinary small town. However, on the eve of her twelfth birthday, she found herself far from ordinary people. Siren is destined to become a mermaid at the age of 12, and she must struggle with a new reality by saying goodbye to her mother and friends as she transitions into the water. Even worse, a group of hunters were trying to catch her. She quickly became friends with Adam Weltz, a new student at the school, and sought his help. He agreed to help her, but found himself caught in the middle, while pursuing the Siren was his own father. When Siren's mother was taken away, the town had to unite behind her and help her transition calmly into the water before the hunters could find her.
