“星空中，群星燦爛，那聽不見的樂曲充滿整個宇宙”這是劉慈欣在他的短篇小說微觀盡頭中的一句話。小說里的物理學家和影片中的物理學家一樣面對著未知的恐懼。他們不知道粒子撞擊后會發生什么，有可能實驗的數據會推翻之前人類所有的物理定律，有可能人類對這個世界的基礎認知全部崩塌，甚至有可能毀滅了整個世界。這是一場用全體人類的未來做賭注來和上帝賭博的一場游戲。但是最后我們贏了，他們證明了超統一理論中的變量，而我們找到了希格斯粒子。
有幾個在影片中讓我感到影響深刻，甚至有點恐怖的點。

The two grey haired theoretical physicists discussing the possibility of the outcome of LHC experiment could prove the theory they had worked on all their career wrong. As an audience, you can clearly see, to them, how devastating this could be. At the end of the discussion, however, they agreed, the truth is the most important thing.

這部片子不得不說是全世界最頂尖的物理學家與最頂尖的紀錄片團體合作起來制作的科普宣傳片，無論是學文科學理科的，還是學其他，經濟學類心理學，思維科學類的知識，我們都可以欣賞它，因為墻的公式誰都看不懂，具體希格斯波色子是什么東西也沒有人知道，我們也不可能去了解的，因為這需要長年累月的物理學基礎，大部分人99%的人都沒有這個基礎。
為了看部電影，我們沒有必要提前花上一年的時間去了解一下粒子物理。即使花上一年，也是不可能弄懂的。
