‘Advertising is not a very comfortable place for everyone.’ – Shirley
The last but two episodes started with Shirley handing in her resignation notice to her old boss, Roger Sterling, and ended with Joan making the deal and leaving her new company. It also featured its protagonist, Don, from the man who was welcomed by McCann-Erikson with a standing ovation and had conferences to attend, clients to please to someone who reinvented his identity twice, driving on the road and assuring even hippie wouldn’t take him out of his way.

Peggy: You don't know a lot of things about a lot of people. That's the point.

從第一季到第七季，匆匆而過太多的人了，印象較深刻的百貨女老板瑞秋，女博士，神父，女老師，安娜，萊蒽??好吧光男主的情婦就數都數不清了。我最喜歡的劇中的并不是男主，佩吉、梅根、特魯迪，安娜是我比較喜歡的類型，邁克爾金斯伯格是最有才華的男人，羅杰是最仗義的人，坎貝爾是脾氣最臭但良心不壞的人，肯和亨利是兩個最靠的住的男人，薩麗是最聰明的孩子，斯坦是最好的男閨蜜，瓊算是一個最拎得清的人吧，泰德是最懦弱的男人，達克算是全劇我最討厭的人，伯特是全劇最有智慧的人了

廣告狂人看到最后讓人心中五味雜陳，Don隨著人生中承載記憶和愛的人一個又一個離開離世，精神崩塌了。Betty在面對死亡時顯得優雅而堅強。真正愛過自己的Rachel早早離開人世，可喜的是她生前最后日子過上了自己想要的生活。當用金錢對Megan做最后的測試時，果然看到她強忍住嘴角的笑意，沒錯她是Jane不一樣但是也不是Don想找的人。
Don的不幸可能正是來自于對人性的深刻體察，沒有人比從小寄人籬下出身卑微的他更理解金錢和事業的重要性，以及人性的虛偽。他理解女性對物質追求也理解婚姻的圍城

刷了三遍的劇，其實最吸引我注意力的角色還是Betty, 所有的心理描寫中Betty的心理是最值得討論的，從她的出身、家世再到她結婚前的職業和婚姻，兒女，甚至是她和Glen的感情糾葛。之前六季里Betty的神經病爆發，她面對各種不好的結果，壓力，不斷的抖著手從精致的手包里翻出煙和打火機，深吸一口再吐出才感覺到她壓力的釋放。
她從前一直看不透Don，也并不明白自己的孩子，到后面的肺癌晚期，她的放棄治療，她似乎才明白過了一切
