Joe有點神經質的自言自語貫穿了整個劇集，最開始覺得是反社會人格；后來覺得他在自我說服；最后只能聽到他是如此渴望被愛。
這個世界對于他來說太過殘酷，這也讓他對自己所愛這人投入了太多的想象最后變成規范。他能看到他所愛之人內心深處的優點和熱情，他看到生活的一團亂麻只不過是因為她有意無意主動被迫選擇的那些朋友們，他一心想要“救”她，love is more important，于是其他人都成為了非實體的obstacle，除掉了他所愛之人的生活就會變得更好。
他對他人投入的熱情或許讓他一次次體驗到了救贖的感覺

感覺第十集女主的這一段獨白才是第一季的升華，可以說是對自己整個人生的總結了，本以為男主會同情一下不殺她了，沒想到還是被干掉了。看整段獨白很讓人思考，大多數時候，我們是不是也都像女主這樣的人在等待白馬王子，在想要被愛呢？直到最后，發現了白馬王子的秘密....
