The film tells the story of the indomitable Dolores Roach, who returns to a community in New York City where tremendous changes have taken place during her 16 years in prison. Dolores' boyfriend has disappeared, and her family is no longer there. Only one of Stone's old friends, Louis, recognized her. Luis provided Dolores with food and accommodation, and asked her to massage and exchange cash in the basement apartment under his dilapidated meat pie shop. When her newly acquired hope for stability was quickly threatened, "Magic Dolores" went to the extreme in order to survive - leaving behind a series of strangled massage clients. Faced with unexpected career success, Dolores and Luis became dangerously symbiotic, and Luis had to unleash his special preferences.
