Show Me Love tells the “romantic” story of two Swedish teen girls, Elin and Agnes. Although there is an explicit theme of queer romance in the film, I argue it is a lesbian film that is not about lesbian but questions the definition of it.
My first approach to prove this claim is to describe Show Me Love (SML) as a counterpart of Ghost World (GW) in terms of girl-girl affection/relationship—in GW, Enid is presumably heterosexual in consideration of her alternative relationship with Seymore; however, her attachment to Becky implies a questionable queer relationship. Conversely, SML depicts how Elin “comes out of closet” from being “straight”, yet, she is not necessarily a lesbian because of the complexities in her character.

1、既然定性于同性戀電影，那么難免與其它相同類型做比較。那么我想說，這部片子的最大優勢是真實，不矯情。尤其是相比于近些年的一些臺灣片子。大家都知道。這里就不點名了。
給觀者帶來這樣的感受主要有這幾個原因：一，劇本故事合情合理。二，采用手提為主的攝影技法，偶爾有劇烈的伸縮鏡頭，把人帶入畫面之內。三，表演出色，雖然沒有讓兩個孩子拍過分的鏡頭，但是彼此之間的情感隨著鏡頭流露無遺。
2、我一直想弄清影片采用的是幾毫米的攝影機。粗顆粒的效果是后期做出來的，還是膠片本身帶來的質感？
3、另外，電影美術做的也很棒。演員的服裝、背景的顏色、枕頭、床單、沙發、墻。。。不知道是不是瑞典本來就是如此之美，還是導演精心調配的。
暫時就是這三點。
